First things first, I have read and re-read all the Harry Potter books ever since they were written and almost know them by-heart! :P I have seen only the first movie of the series and after being terribly disappointed didn't feel the need/urge to go for any other after... There. Now having said this, this movie was really good.
So for starters, I had issues with the book. The 7th book was the most disappointing in which I felt like there was no reason or purpose behind all the killing. Yes, she did tie most (or actually all) loose ends, but it seemed like she did it because she didn't know what else to do. I read that book in about 3 hours and for me the book really needs to grip you, like you shouldn't want to put it down, it should engulf you... but the fact that the book didn't manage to grip me till the last chapter or so when the story actually begins to unravel is pathetic... anyways.
The movie is based on the book (duh!) So I pretty much knew the story well so I'm not about to dwell a lot on that, but instead am going to talk about how the movie was made! :) The director is awesome and so is the cinematographer! Some of the shots were beautiful! Almost like LOTR! :P I loved how they made the movie really dark, gripping, and crisp in a lot of ways. They tied in things very well. Like the point where Hermoine tells Harry about why the Griffindor sword will destroy the Horcrux, she shows him a line which says that the sword will absorb anything that will make it stronger. And since Harry had used that sword on the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, the sword absorbed the Basilisk venom and could hence kill the Horcrux. And I thought that this was something that wasn't there in the book? Am not sure about that one, but it was an interesting way to put things. Then there was this shot when Hermoine is roaming in the forest under the protective spells which she's cast, and then she comes across these Snatchers. Because of the spell she can't be seen by them, and I thought it was really good acting because in spite of the fact that there were facing each other with barely an inch apart, and even though he couldn't see her, he could smell and hear her, so she'd held her breath while he was standing there sniffing... that moment was so beautifully depicted!
One of the best scenes in the movie was the depiction of the story of the deathly hallows when Hermoine was reading it. It was completely done with CG and the creativity was mindblowing! I wish someone made a clip of it and shared it on youtube or something because it was awesome. Very 300 kind of blood splattering, and just amazing graphics!!
As far as the acting goes, it was all about Harry, Ron and Hermoine. But I think Ron and Hermoine did a better job than Harry. For some weird reason I kept thinking that Daniel's proportions are all wrong. In the first scene when these people come to take the Polyjuice potion and become 7 Harry's, when Hermoine and Fleur turn into Harry, it looks odd because it's a boy wearing girl's clothes, but since that point, it just kind of stayed with me, that his head is not proportionate to his body. It's like his head is too big for his body. Something was weird. I don't know what... :P
Emma Watson was really good. Really strong and real portrayal of Hermoine. Rupert (whatever) was great as well. Very convincing. I think like Harry's character in the book, even in the movie, it looked like Harry didn't have a backbone in his spine. I felt the end was too bad though. Yes I know it was meant to be. But even then! :)
All in all definitely a movie you should watch. It would've been better in 3D or at least in like High Definition. Maybe the theatre I went to wasn't great. But I felt the movie video quality could've been better, more crisp, more contrast, more detail.
So go on and have fun!

but yeah Voldemort was not at all scary. In fact his eyes were too human. They should've been more snakelike. the minister of magic, wasn't he supposed to look like a lion? he looked like anything but that! hmm... i think i agree with all ur points actually! :P
